Caves Update

Update 4 on the Arcane Lineage roadmap is the Caves Update. This page tracks what has been announced, what the community is building expectations around, and what is still confirmed only by the official Trello and Discord pins. This is not a leak blog. If a number can move, we send you to the official channels.

As of the last major publish on 26 August 2026, the following features have been officially referenced in community update trackers:

Caves Biome

The headline feature is a new Caves biome — a distinct underground layer that adds environmental hazards, new mob types, and a different pacing from the existing Desert and Deeproot content. Community maps from player expeditions still reference:

  • Narrow passages that change how party composition works (less room for ranged classes to kite)
  • New elite mob types with different QTE patterns than surface content
  • Cave-specific resources that feed into new crafting and enchant routes

Confirm spawn locations and mob tables on Trello the day you walk. Biome data moves between patches.

Ultra Class for Every Weapon Type

The roadmap references one Ultra Class per weapon type — meaning the five base weapons (sword, dagger, spear, cestus, staff) each get a dedicated Ultra progression branch. Community sheets interpret this as:

  • Sword → Ultra sword mastery beyond Berserker and Paladin
  • Dagger → Ultra dagger mastery beyond Assassin and Rogue
  • Spear → Ultra spear mastery beyond Impaler and Saint
  • Cestus → Ultra cestus mastery beyond Darkwraith and Monk
  • Staff → Ultra staff mastery beyond Necromancer and Elementalist

The Neutral kits (Blade Dancer, Lancer, Brawler, Hexer) may get their own Ultra branches or may remain in the existing Super Class tier. Confirm on the official Discord.

New Raid

A new raid is listed alongside the Caves biome. Community speculation around the announcement references:

  • Raid-level difficulty spike compared to existing content
  • Unique loot table including the Caves-specific Ultra weapons
  • Coordination requirements that push party composition toward structured groups
  • Potential for the raid to be the source of the Ultra weapon tier for Caves content

Do not plan a clear around raid loot until the instance is live and the Trello card is updated.

+20 Level Cap

The update is expected to raise the level cap by 20 levels — from the current cap to a new ceiling that would push characters past the standard Super Class progression range. Community math references:

  • New Soul Point allocations at the higher levels
  • Stat point distributions that matter more at the ceiling than they did in the mid-range
  • Potential for new milestone unlocks tied to the cap raise

Confirm the exact new cap on the official channels when the update lands.

New Enchants, Scrolls, and More

The roadmap also lists:

  • New enchant lines specific to the Caves biome and Caves weapons
  • New scroll types that may interact with the raised level cap
  • Additional content that has not been detailed in the public tracker

Trello owns the live list. Check the update pins the day new enchants appear — they may invalidate existing recommendations.

How to prepare

  • Lock in your current build. Meta shifts will come with the new Ultra branches.
  • Save resources. Gold and materials for the Caves content may have different requirements than current farming.
  • Watch Discord pins. The Caves Update is the next major content drop. Official announcements will hit Discord before they hit YouTube.

For the current live content, see Withered Grove, Unearthed, and New Horizons. For the progression path that leads to Caves content, see Ultra Class and Super Class tier list.
