Arcane Lineage Marks
Late soul stamps. Venia wants Midas and orbs. Pentant wants a bestiary. Astra is a Metrom luxury.
Marks are the late identity people google after they already have a Super Class, a covenant, and a bad idea. They stamp the soul. They are not a town errand. They are not a covenant. They are not Corruption. This page names the ones players actually search — Venia, Pentant, Rema, Astra — and the rule underneath: a first life should buy health on the Soul Tree before it feeds artifacts to a glowing orb.
Live steps move. Discord pins and the Ultimate Trello win. If a 2024 clip and a 2026 pin disagree, the pin wins. Marks have been bugged around big patches. If the soul does not “carve” after a wipe, you did not get progress. Do not invent a second ritual.
Venia — wealth orbs after Midas
Venia is the mark with the most public walkthroughs. Community obtain still looks like this:
- Obtain the Midas enchant. That means Yar’thul plus 250 Tinker sales.
- Sell every sellable lesser artifact: Phoenix Tear, Lineage Shard, Soul Dust, Resplendent Essence, Memory Fragment.
- Hold about 50,000 gold so the orbs appear. Losing the gold later does not erase progress. Seeing orbs without 50k is a glitch — do not sacrifice into a glitched orb.
- Four orbs around the map: near Blades of the World, near the Martial Artist trainer, at the Tundra entrance, and at Deeproot caves.
- Each orb wants three specific artifacts. The set is randomized on first obtain. Write it down. Later tiers want the same artifacts, including Echo Shard talk.
- A correct sacrifice “quivers” the soul. A wrong one can crack and destroy the relic, or reject it so that artifact is no longer required.
- Hold four objects of power in inventory for the first obtain (community notes: do not equip them). Later ranks skip this.
- Finish the rebirth dialogue. “Something great carving into your soul” is the success line.
Jump while using the artifact at the orb. Walking up and clicking inventory like a tourist does nothing. Later Venia tiers repeat the same loop. Community tools mention Mudo and Primal Essence for buying artifacts back. That economy is late. It is not a beginner gold farm.
Pentant — the bestiary wipe
Pentant (clips also say Petent / Pant) is the kill-everything mark. Community guides still want:
- A census of mobs, including night enemies, Astral Slime, and newer rooms like Temple of Norn and Amorian Chasm.
- Metrom’s Vessel for tier 1. Put the Void Key in the Soul Vault before you wipe. Later tiers may not need another Metrom clear.
- A wipe that actually carves. If the respawn line does not mention carving, you farmed a bestiary and not a mark.
Use a tracker. The quests page is not the full census. Cursed enchant quest progress and Pentant checkboxes are easy to mix up. Starting a quest is not killing the mob.
Tier talk still names a debuff-scaling move around tier 3 and a nearly useless tier 5. Stop at a rank that changes a fight. Vanity ranks are how people burn a month.
Rema — void Gates
Rema (also Rima in older boards) is the portal mark. Community notes say void trials grant Gates — extra teleport identity, not a damage Super Class. If you already have Pentant tier 1, more void trials are how Gates show up. Admin-only Corrupt talk is a different, non-player stamp. Do not plan a first Paladin around an admin race.
Rema is quality of life. It is not a reason to wipe a character that still needs a Base Class.
Astra and the rest
Astra is the mark Ranger pastes name for solo Metrom. Party Ranger can skip it. If you are not soloing the Jailhouse, you do not have an Astra problem.
Other names rotate through Grove overlays. Treat unknown stamps as Trello cards, not as homework. A mark that does not carve after the posted wipe is either bugged or not the mark you thought.
How marks sit next to other layers
| Layer | When | Leave without? |
|---|---|---|
| Race | Spawn | Shard / extra slot |
| Base Class | Level 5 | New weapon, new life |
| Super Class | ~15 | Plan as identity |
| Covenant | ~10 | Wipe only |
| Mark | Late | Wipe / long quest |
| Corruption | Grove quest | Separate form |
A mark on a character with no party and no yellow habit is jewelry. First-kill Soul points and first-mark Soul points are real, which is why a Lineage Shard after you already cashed those firsts is expensive. Plan the stamp before you start the orbs.
When not to chase a mark
- You do not have Midas and you wanted Venia this afternoon. You wanted a dragon and 250 sales first.
- You still miss yellow. Getting started is louder than an orb.
- A YouTuber said marks were bugged this patch. Believe them until a Discord pin says otherwise.
- You thought a mark was a redeem code. Codes still do not exist.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the Venia mark in Arcane Lineage?
A late wealth stamp. Get Midas, sell lesser artifacts, hold 50k gold, then jump-sacrifice the right relics into four map orbs.
Do I need a mark on my first character?
No. Buy Soul Tree health, a Super Class, and a covenant skill you will press. Marks are a second-life project.
How do I know a mark took?
The respawn line about something carving into your soul. If that line is missing, the wipe did not count.
Is Astra required for Ranger?
Only if you are soloing Metrom’s Vessel. Party Ranger can skip it.
