Arcane Lineage Subclasses

Subclasses are the extra desks people skip on the way to Paladin. They do not replace a Base Class. They do not wait for alignment the same way a Super Class does. They sit beside the ladder and sell potions, songs, marks, ore, or an anvil. This page is the roster. Walking directions live on trainer locations. Power arguments belong on a party that already owns yellow.

If you do not have a Base Class yet, leave. Buy a weapon. Talk to Ysa, Boots, Tivek, the rock, or Arandor. Then come back.

Alchemist — Selia in Westwood

Alchemist is the brew line. Selia stands at a table in Westwood, Deeproot Canopy, near Way of Life. Community kits still list:

• Create Cauldron — drop a kettle where you are standing so you are not hiking to a village every flask
• Certified — sell ingredients and potions to apothecaries instead of eating them
• A combat button that damages and debuffs, not a full DPS kit

The reason you take it is the bottle list, not the auto. Small Healing Potion, energy elixirs, Ferrus Skin, invisibility flasks, Stoneskin, and Light of Grace (the in-fight revive, cap per battle) all sit on this table. Recipes and prices move. Alchemist is often ranked below Bard and Beastmaster for combat. That is fair. If you are still buying extra slots, the gold from Certified can still pay for the next shard. If you already have a Saint, you wanted songs or marks more than another flask recipe.

Musician / Bard — Cantia in the desert tavern

Walk the desert tavern. Cantia is conducting. This is the buff, heal, and debuff subclass. Curar Forte spends a slice of your HP to heal allies — a party button, not a solo flask. Total gold cost in older sheets sits around 1,200. Easy to find. Easy to underrate if your group already has a dedicated healer.

Take Musician when the party is missing a cheap support layer and you do not want to fork Saint. Do not take it so you can skip Guard.

Beastmaster — Thorin at the forest gate

Thorin stands against a tall tree at the forest-side desert entrance, sword in the ground, not inside the gate. Older sheets want a few mob drops (Mushroom Cap, Sand Core, Restless Fragment) plus gold. The kit is about Mark: extra drops on marked executions, plus a sneak that costs HP to skip encounters.

Beastmaster is a farm and travel tool. It is not a second tank. Use the sneak when the walk to Yar’thul or Grove is eating lives. See lives if you already spent two on the road.

Miner and Blacksmith — New Horizons extras

The January 2026 QoL / New Horizons Part 2 recap added two more desks people now search as subclasses:

• Miner — Amorus Rift. Community notes call it a minor subclass with a wide AoE button. Painful to progress on purpose. Not a first-life chore.
• Blacksmith — Heaven / Illustris side through the illustrious gate. Summon an anvil, craft armor, and (on some accounts) put shards on weapons. Confirm the live room. Do not assume every Paladin can smith from Caldera spawn.

Both are patch content. If Trello hides a desk, the desk is hidden. If a creator calls Miner “the new meta Super Class,” it is not. Super Classes still live on the roster.

How to pick one

• Need flasks and Gold: Alchemist.
• Need a cheap party heal and a song: Musician.
• Need drops and a quieter walk: Beastmaster.
• Need late armor crafts: Blacksmith, after you can reach Illustris.
• Need a first Super Class: none of these. Walk the alignment fork instead.

Subclasses stack on a character who already has a weapon handshake. They do not forgive a missed yellow. They do not unlock covenants. They do not replace Endurance on the stat planner. Pick one when the town loop is boring. Pick none if you still cannot find Ysa.
