Arcane Lineage How to Beat Yar'thul
The Blazing Dragon is a fire exam. Hex helps. Guard the slam. Do not solo it because a Ranger clip made it look polite.
Yar’thul, the Blazing Dragon is the named fire boss people search after King Slime stops dropping anything they need. He lives in Mount Thul, the volcano walk in the desert — not in Caldera, not in the Grove hole. This page is the method. HP tables, exact immunities, and this week’s drop rates belong on the Helper Trello the morning you pull.
If you still miss yellow on town packs, stop. Open the early boss guide and the combat QTE page. Yar’thul is the same bar with Inferno on it.
How to get to Mount Thul
Leave Caldera toward the desert. The volcano is the landmark, not a hidden cave. Community clips still say keep straight until the mountain eats the sky, then pick the interior path that is not a scenic dead end. Left Ctrl icons help. An Abhorrent Elixir from Yorn helps more. The world map is the town half of that walk. The trainer page is how you already own a class before you go.
Do not confuse this walk with Withered Grove. Grove is the jungle hole off the tree exit. Yar’thul is desert heat.
What the fight is doing
Yar’thul leans fire and Inferno. Burning is the tax for greed. Community notes still call him resistant to fire and raw physical, and happier when you bring Hex or another non-fire school. That is why a pure Inferno enchant meme can look amazing on a dummy and then bounce. Confirm the live card. Do not take a fire staff into a fire dragon because the model matches.
Older writeups printed 1200 HP (1800 Corrupted). Those numbers rot. Play the bar in front of you. Corrupted stamps hit harder and last longer. Bring the same party you would bring to any named slam, plus extra cleanse if you have a Saint or Church of Raphion Bless.
Party plan
- Soak. Warrior into Paladin, Martial Artist into Monk, or a later Lionheart if that trainer is already done. Guard unread windups. Do not greed the sword QTE the turn after a slam.
- Status. Yorn’s Daze on whoever can land it. Hex lines, poison, blind — something that is not more fire. A dragon that never sits in a debuff out-heals your pride.
- Backline. Wizard or Hexer only if the soak exists. Coward is a gift when someone else is the magnet.
- Heal. How to heal is the bottle list. Light of Grace is for a downed ally, not a panic flask in the lobby.
Solo Ranger clips exist. They are a speed kit plus a player who already knew the bar. Copy the beginner build if you insist on solo: Endurance first, a block passive, Daze on cooldown. Do not copy the highlight reel.
Why you came: the artifacts
Yar’thul is an artifact farm, not a title card. Current Helper Trello still attaches:
- Narthana’s Sigil — party heal pulse after you heal enough (the Saint pickup)
- Reality Watch — rewind HP and energy three turns
- Shifting Hourglass — the other dragon tempo relic when the live card still lists it
Metrom’s Amulet is the pack-splash relic people mix up with this farm. Helper still parks that one on Thorian. Confirm the card before you vendor.
He also shows up in Lineage Shard and enchant talk. If you needed a shard, the dedicated shard guide is the decision layer. If you needed a healer artifact, Sigil is the reason this room exists.
Identify Grove-era drops in town if they come in unidentified. Gold NPC. Do not vendor a Watch because the model looks like a pocket watch from a starter shop.
Pull checklist
- Own a Base Class you will actually swing.
- Leave Greater Trials off unless you can reclear desert packs with them on.
- Carry potions and a doctor visit before you enter the volcano. Hard-mode gold heals are a ghost. Town gold still buys flasks.
- Bind a Discord group that can reclear. A one-life leftover is a leave.
- After the kill, check the items page so you do not farm a table you already emptied.
