Arcane Lineage Light, Dark, and Alignment

Alignment is the quiet gate on a Super Class. Players search “Arcane Lineage Light vs Dark” because an older season used those words on the thumbnail, and they search “Orderly Neutral Chaotic” because a trainer can refuse a Paladin who has been playing like a murder hobo. This page keeps those ideas in one place without inventing a hidden morality meter the client never shows.

The previous branding wave is documented on Dark and Light. The live wrapper is Withered Grove. Alignment did not leave with the old title card.

Three words that actually matter

Community boards and trainer text talk about Orderly, Neutral, and Chaotic. Treat them as a record of how the character has been played, not as a second race.

• Orderly is the Paladin-shaped word. Help, hold, and do not farm the town like a villain if you want the fork that babysits a party.
• Chaotic is the selfish fork word. Some Super Classes want the mess. Some refuse it.
• Neutral is the middle that still lets several trainers talk to you. It is not a dump stat. It is a door that stays unlocked.

Light and Dark are not a second slider

Dark and Light was a season name. It is still a useful search because beginner videos were recorded under it. It is not a reason to reroll. It is not a redeem code. It is not a hidden class. If a thumbnail promises a Light kit or a Dark kit as a free power, open the Codes Hub and leave. There is still no box.

In play, “light” and “dark” show up as flavor on later kits — Paladin versus Darkwraith, Saint versus Impaler — not as a title-screen faction pick. You buy a weapon. You play a run. The fork reads the run.

How alignment ruins a Super Class plan

Around level 15 you can take a Super Class tied to the Base you already own. Alignment and a trainer gate those titles. A Warrior who wanted Paladin and spent ten levels acting Chaotic can walk into a silent room. That is not a bug. That is the check.

Before you farm the last levels:

1. Pick the fork on the Super Class roster.
2. Read the live alignment note on Trello.
3. Play the remaining session like that note is real.
4. Only then walk to the trainer.

If the card and a YouTuber disagree, the card and a Discord pin win. Old Dark and Light clips still teach the bar. They do not teach this month’s gate.

What not to do

• Do not wipe a working character because a video said your alignment is “wrong” without naming the fork.
• Do not treat a Lineage Shard as an alignment reset. A shard rerolls race and deletes the life. It is not a confession booth.
• Do not plan a Paladin on a character you already play like an Assassin unless the live board says the check is gone.
• Do not invent a Light temple or a Dark altar because the old subtitle sounded like one.

Pairing with race and class

A magic lineage into Wizard still wants Arcane, whatever your alignment poem says. A body lineage into Warrior still wants Endurance. Alignment is the last lock, not the first. Read races and classes first. Spend points with the stat planner. Then worry about whether the Paladin trainer will look you in the eye.
