Where to Find Arcane Lineage Trainers

The handshake is the class. Left Ctrl finds the room. Trello still owns the tile that moved last week.

Trainer Locations

“Where is the trainer” is the search that follows “how to get a class.” The weapon shop sells the key. The NPC who teaches the weapon is the door. This page is the walking map for Base Class rooms in Caldera, the Super Class forks later, and the subclass desks people skip. Confirm every hallway on the Ultimate Trello the day you walk — Withered Grove already moved more tiles than a 2024 video wants to admit.

If you have not bought a weapon yet, stop. Read how to get a class first. A trainer with nothing in your hand is a sightseeing tour.

Turn Left Ctrl on before you leave spawn. Location icons exist because the client would rather you guess. The world map is the geography half. This page is the names.

Base Class trainers in Caldera

All five Base rooms sit in or on the edge of Caldera Town. You need level 5 and the matching starter weapon.

Warrior — Ysa. Near a town gate, sword in hand. She is the easiest find if you spawn and actually look at a gate instead of running into the first slime pack. Warrior is the frontline that later forks Paladin or Berserker.

Thief — Boots. Main spawn area, arms crossed against a wall, often in a darker back corner behind the blacksmith side. Dagger first. Then the handshake. Thief is the gold-and-blind line that later becomes Assassin or Rogue.

Wizard — Arandor. The tall tower. Walk the nearly invisible stairs (sparkles or transparent steps) to the desk by the window. Staff first. Wizard is the backline with a second minigame. Do not start here if yellow is still random — read the combat guide.

Slayer — Tivek. Cave to the left of the Wizard tower, same neighborhood as Arandor. Spear from the shop ladder. Slayer is poison and later Impaler or Saint.

Martial Artist — the rock. Out of town toward the rocks, bandana, punching a boulder. Cestus first. This is the block-friendly first character most parties actually want.

Buy one weapon. Talking to the wrong trainer with the wrong tool is how people waste a trip and then blame the wiki.

Super Class trainers after the mid-teens

Around level 15 you walk again. Alignment — Orderly, Neutral, or Chaotic — can silence a room. Neutral forks (Blade Dancer, Lancer, Brawler, Hexer) are the expensive exception. Lionheart and Ranger have their own walks. Confirm the live card before you spend the gold.

Community maps still cluster Super Class rooms by alignment rather than by Base Class:

  • Desert / Old Ruins cluster: Paladin (Demon, sword on the wall), Monk (Luther on a mat), Saint (ribcage, spear), Rogue (Aberon), Elementalist (Landrum near the Blades of the World hideout).
  • Deeproot / Westwood cluster: Impaler (Orin in Westwood), Assassin (seated with a blade), Berserker (Kayrein, left fork in the parkour cave), Necromancer (Ulys, right fork, summoning circle), Darkwraith (Mother of Dark — gear up, the walk is the tax).

Those names rot. If Discord pins a move, the pin wins. Do not screenshot a 2025 hallway and call it a Grove fact.

Subclass desks

Subclasses sit beside the Base ladder, not on it. Full kits live on the subclass page. Short version of the walks:

  • Musician / Bard — Cantia. Desert tavern, conducting. Buffs, heals, and the HP-tax song.
  • Beastmaster — Thorin. Forest near the desert entrance, sword in the ground, not inside the gate.
  • Alchemist — Selia. Westwood in Deeproot Canopy, brewing at a table, opposite Way of Life if you already have that room.
  • Miner and Blacksmith. New Horizons extras. Miner in the Amorus Rift. Blacksmith through the Illustris / Heaven gate. Treat both as live Trello rooms, not as first-hour chores.

How not to brick the walk

  1. Weapon in inventory. Trainer dialogue that says “come back later” usually means you are under level 5 or holding the wrong tool.
  2. Abhorrent Elixir from Yorn if the field between tiles is eating lives. Random encounters are the tax. See lives if you are already down two.
  3. Party the Deeproot Super Class caves. Darkwraith and the parkour forks are not a sightseeing loop on a one-life character.
  4. Do not farm a Super Class trainer at level 8 because a thumbnail called it “easy.” The handshake has a level. The getting started loop still comes first.

After the handshake

Skills on paper do not teach yellow. Leave town and use the kit. Then spend Essence on a mat, not on a second weapon. The Soul Tree wants health before a title. If the race fights the weapon you just locked, the Lineage Shard is the later conversation, not a reason to skip the trainer you already found.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Where is the Warrior trainer in Arcane Lineage?

Ysa stands by a Caldera Town gate with a sword. Buy the broadsword first, then talk to her at level 5.

Why will a trainer not teach me?

You are under level 5, you are holding the wrong weapon, or you walked to a Super Class room before you own a Base Class.

Do trainer rooms move after Withered Grove?

They can. Use Left Ctrl and the Ultimate Trello the day you walk. Old YouTube hallways go stale.

Where are subclass trainers?

Musician in the desert tavern, Beastmaster by the forest-side desert entrance, Alchemist in Westwood. Miner and Blacksmith are later New Horizons rooms.
