Arcane Lineage Gear

Four mix-and-match pieces. Not armor. Not artifacts. The Dark and Light layer that still decides a Ranger sheet.

Gear

Gear in Arcane Lineage is the four-slot mix-and-match layer Dark and Light added when it killed the old accessory pile. It is not the clothes on your back — that is armor. It is not the named relic — that is artifacts. It is not the weapon glow — that is enchants. This page is how to read a piece, where community tables still farm it, and which four names actually show up on 2026 sheets.

Unidentified Grove drops are the same layer with extra homework. Identify them in town for gold. Higher tiers cost more. Do not vendor a mystery before the NPC names it. Details on items.

How four slots work

You equip four pieces. They stack. There is no set-bonus religion unless a live tooltip says there is. A Ranger can wear Forest Charm plus Expedite Anklet plus Yar’thul’s Wrath plus Crystal Sphere and still be one character. A Saint can wear Vainglorious Locket plus Narthana’s Leaf plus a leech piece and still be the heal seat. Mixing two “best DPS” charms onto a Paladin who needed turn order is how parties wipe with great loot.

Live stats move. This page names jobs, not Day-1 percentages. Confirm the card on Trello before you reroll a covenant for a pebble.

Speed and Ranger staples

These are the names Ranger pastes will not shut up about:

  • Expedite Anklet — Godspeed. Fog spirit / Foxbeard in deep forest is the usual farm. This is the clip engine.
  • Forest Charm — Nature damage. Grass spirit. Flourish and Perennial Canopy live here.
  • Yar’thul’s Wrath — dragon stamp. Drops from Yar’thul. Most Speed sheets still keep it even after nail nerfs.
  • Shattered Clock Hand — cooldown cuts. Community obtain still says Thief packs. Ranger and anyone with long Flourish CDs want it.
  • Spiked Steel Ball — Desert Bandit. Canopy and lingering hits proc it. Not a fashion piece.
  • Crystal Sphere — sand elemental in the desert. Flexible extra slot.
  • Coagulated Finger Nail — named in older Speed pastes, later nerfed. If the live tooltip is sad, replace it with Wrath or Clock Hand.

Traveler’s Lamp still shows up on Godspeed throwbacks. If you have it and Speed is the plan, keep it until Anklet drops.

Boss stamps worth a reclear

  • Aspect of MaladaptationThorian. Status kits and anyone already living on Darksigil look here.
  • Tainted Quiver — Thorian-side talk. Sunder and defense shred for Assassin strings.
  • Blazing Perforator — Yar’thul. Fire approach. Makes the next dragon less rude if you already have it.
  • Vainglorious LocketMetrom’s Vessel is the rumor farm. Turn-order piece. Support Saints paste it so they Bless before the slam.
  • Imbuement Reliquary — Seraphon. Church capstone energy. Not a town slime drop.
  • Tear Blood Crystal — Carnes, the Westwood-front boss. Confirm the live card.

If a piece only drops from a named fight, treat the fight as the obtain, not a side errand. The boss method still applies: party, Daze, Guard the unread slam.

Support, tank, and weird slots

  • Narthana’s Leaf — healer slot. Pairs with Narthana’s Sigil on the artifact page.
  • Parasitic Leech — night goblin in the forest. Lifesteal-shaped. Cult kits and chip tanks like it.
  • Everbeating Drums — tempo / party-shaped. Musician talk lives nearby.
  • Vainglorious Locket again — turn order is a support stat. DPS who steal it from the Saint are why Metrom wipes.
  • Grain of Balance, Gelat Band, The Biggest Pebble — filler and slime-table leftovers. Fine early. Replace them.
  • Wicked Crown, Cursed Brand, Imperial Headband, Band of Crushing Force — specialist. Read the tooltip. Do not copy a name because it sounded mean.
  • Dragon Memoir, Magma Charm, Molten Carapace, Vulcan Knuckle, Blazing Brand, Dust Storm, Stone Brand, Golem Rune Core, Arbusta Tear, Sanguine Fang, Ramizcan Idol, Shard of Blight, Spore Root — named, farmable, and patchy. Use the obtain video in the middle of this page as a map, then verify the mob on Trello.

Night-cycle enemies from Dark and Light still hide some of these. If the forest looks empty, wait for night or you are farming the wrong loop.

How to fill four slots on a first life

  1. Own a Base Class. Gear on a level 4 tourist is jewelry.
  2. Put on whatever you can identify that matches the damage type you actually press.
  3. Farm Anklet or a Speed piece only after yellow is a habit. Godspeed on a player who misses the bar is a faster corpse.
  4. Reclear Yar’thul for Wrath and Perforator when the party can do it twice.
  5. Leave Metrom pieces until Metrom’s Vessel is a real plan, not a thumbnail.

A first character does not need a perfect four. It needs Endurance, a weapon, and a party. Gear is the last twenty percent. The loadouts page is race plus stats. This page is the jewelry that goes on after that sheet exists.

Grove unidentified rolls

Withered Grove added drops that arrive unnamed. Take them to the identifier. Pay gold. Community notes still mention Lucky Horns, Shadow Gauntlets, First Line Spike, Blooming Eye, Infected Skin, Blast Me, and high-tier talk around Vainglory-style lockets. If the roll is Endurance or crit and your kit is empty, keep it. If the roll is a cosmetic you cannot explain, vendor it. Inventory slots are a resource. The gold farm page is how those slots become Midas progress instead of a museum.

When a patch adds a fifth slot or deletes Anklet, Discord pins win. Until then, four pieces, one job each, no duplicates of the same ego.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many gear slots does Arcane Lineage have?

Four mix-and-match pieces. Armor is a separate set. Artifacts are a separate relic. Enchants go on the weapon.

What gear should Ranger wear?

Forest Charm, Expedite Anklet, Yar’thul’s Wrath, then Crystal Sphere, Spiked Steel Ball, or Shattered Clock Hand.

Where does Vainglorious Locket drop?

Community tables still attach it to Metrom’s Vessel. Confirm the live card before you farm only for that piece.

Should I vendor unidentified Grove gear?

No. Identify it in town first. A crit or Endurance roll can beat a named piece you already understand.
