How to Heal in Arcane Lineage

“How to heal” in Arcane Lineage is several systems wearing one search. Out of combat you want a doctor or a potion. In combat you want a skill, a covenant button, or an artifact that actually fires on the turn you are dying. This page is the menu. It is not a promise that a glass Wizard becomes immortal.

If you are on one life, read lives after you drink something. If you still miss yellow, healing is a delay. The combat guide is the real restore.

Out of combat: the doctor and the bottle

The Doctor NPC is the free full restore people forget exists. Community maps still put a doctor just outside the tavern in Caldera, with extra desks in later towns. Talk. Fill the bar. Leave. Do not spend a Light of Grace in the street because you did not look for a white coat.

Potions are the travel kit. Small Healing Potion (Everthistle + Slime chunk) is the early craft and the orderly-student ingredient. Larger flasks and energy elixirs sit on the Alchemist table. Carry enough to recover between pulls. Do not vendor your next weapon to overstock. Mator’s Encyclopedia, unlocked from H.T. Louie, is how you remember which bottle is a heal after you forgot the tooltip.

Yorn’s Abhorrent Elixir is not a heal. It lowers random encounters. That saves lives. It does not refill HP.

In combat: skills that actually restore

Class buttons beat inventory clicks when a slam is incoming.

• Saint: Cleansing Prayer (heal plus cleanse) and Holy Grace. This is why spear supports exist. See the Super Class roster.
• Necromancer: Darklight Drain (damage plus self heal), Death Siphon after a kill, Raise Dead for a fallen ally. Still a backliner. Still wants a tank.
• Musician / Bard: Curar Forte spends a slice of your HP to heal allies. Do not press it as the solo. Details on subclasses.
• Way of Life covenant: Lesser Heal at rank 10, plus Lifebound and later Blessing of Life regen. Join rules live on covenants. You cannot leave without a wipe.
• Church of Raphion: Bless and Holy Light are cleanse-and-energy more than a dedicated tank heal, but support Saints still take the church for Supporting Light.

Racial buttons exist too. Daminos talk includes Restructure (ally regen) and a low-HP regen passive. Drauga talk includes crit lifesteal. Those are lineage extras, not a reason to shard a working Martial Artist on day one.

Artifacts and gear that pretend to be heals

Narthana’s Sigil (Yar’thul) is the healer staple: after you heal enough, it pulses the party. Reality Watch (also Yar’thul) rewinds your HP and energy three turns. That is a safety net, not a regen tank. Full tables sit on artifacts.

Gear clips also name Parasitic / Arsenic Leech (heal on dealing damage) and Narthana’s Leaf (pay HP to amplify outgoing healing). Those are items and armor problems. They do not press Space.

Light of Grace revives an ally in battle to a chunk of max HP, with a per-fight cap. Crafted, expensive, and not a solo flask. Save it for a named fight your party actually intends to finish.

What healing is not

Healing is not a substitute for Guard. A player who drinks after every missed yellow is paying Gold to stay bad. Healing is not Hard-mode insurance — Hard is gone. Configure Trials so the pack you are healing through is still legal. Healing is not a reason to skip Endurance on the stat planner.

A first-hour restore order that still works:

1. Doctor after a bad walk.
2. Two cheap potions in the bag.
3. Daze from Yorn so fights end before you need a flask.
4. A block class in the party so chip is small.
5. Covenant and Saint buttons only after the town loop is boring.

If a video tells you to join Way of Life before you own a Base Class, ignore it. Rank 10 Lesser Heal does not teach the yellow window. The Guides Hub still starts at getting started, not at a scarf cosmetic.
