New Horizons in Arcane Lineage

New Horizons is the era name players use for the late-2025 / early-2026 redesign that rebuilt how difficulty and Soul Points work. If you bounced off Arcane Lineage because every guide screamed “swap to Hard,” this page is the translation layer. The live Roblox thumbnail in August 2026 still says Withered Grove. Grove sits on top of New Horizons systems. It did not restore the old mode slider.

The hard date community boards agree on is 22 December 2025: Soul Point major reorganization plus the Christmas pass. The old Normal / Hard / Legendary stack was deleted. Characters default to a neutral baseline. Optional Trials became the way to buy multipliers with restrictions. Full toggle advice lives on the Trials guide. This page is the era wrapper so update searches stop landing on dead Hard-mode advice.

What New Horizons actually changed

Difficulty. Modes are gone. Trials are in. Greater trials act like the old Legendary dare. Lesser trials are modular farm pain. Read tooltips the day you play — names and unlock gates move.

Soul Points. SP became a clearer late-game currency for the Soul Tree, resets, and milestone payouts. First Super Class, first bosses, and first artifacts still matter. Trials multiply how fast those payouts arrive when you can survive them.

Ranking talk. Community notes describe an F-rank style climb tied to surviving content under the new systems. Treat rank names as live Discord facts, not as a permanent ladder carved into this paragraph.

What did not change. Turn-based QTE. Five Caldera Base Classes. Party-first bosses. No public redeem box. The Codes Hub stayed empty through the Horizons pass and through Grove.

How to play if your bookmarks are from 2024

1. Ignore any sentence that says “die three times for Hard.” That was the old Soulmaster handshake. The modern handshake is the Trials menu.
2. Keep the rest of the getting started loop: Bounty Board, Yorn’s Daze, Mator’s Encyclopedia, level 5 weapon, trainer.
3. Spend Essence on a mat with M the same way. The Essence guide still owns that orb.
4. Bank Soul Tree health before you greed damage nodes. Horizons made SP more visible; it did not make glass bodies smarter.
5. When a video says Unearthed or Dark and Light in the title, keep the combat lesson and throw away the difficulty slider lesson.

A creator can mash all four words into one thumbnail. Your character cannot. Pick the system you are configuring today (Trials), the boss you are clearing today (Handaconda / Metrom), and the quest you are stamping today (Corruption).

Desert sneak peeks that arrived later

Horizons notes also framed the desert pipeline that players still search as Unearthed: axe and hammer skill checks, Handaconda as a raid-shaped named fight, and more desert gear. Those pieces have their own pages. Do not expect the Trial menu to unlock a desert class. Weapons and trainers still do.

What to do after you catch up

Open Trials. Add nothing until yellow is reliable. Then run the same town economy you always should have run. If you came here hunting Soul Points, the short answer is: clear milestones, enable survivable Lesser trials, and stop dying on Greater toggles you enabled for a screenshot. The long answer is the Trials guide plus a real farm target like Metrom’s Vessel.

Horizons was a systems update. Grove is the live wrapper. Your build is still a race, a class, and a bar. Use Players and Guides for those. Use this page only long enough to stop configuring a difficulty mode that no longer exists.
